A Crown of Glory That Fadeth Not Away

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

I read of these Laos pastors in my Voice of the Martyr prayer update for April 1, 2008. As a pastor I am continually brought to condemnation when I consider the commitment of my brothers immersed in such violent persecution. Quite the difference from a Sunday in America. Please consider a prayer of encouragement for these dear brothers as they rest in their faithful Lord’s arms.

LAOS
UPDATE: Arrested Pastors Taken Back to Their Province – VOM Sources
On March 27, The Voice of the Martyrs contacts in Laos reported that eight pastors arrested when entering Thailand to attend meetings had been picked up by police from their province and escorted back home to Laos. “The police from their province have taken them back to their province and put them back in prison again. We do not know how long they will be in prison,” VOM sources said. Pray for protection and courage for these pastors and their families. Pray they will love and forgive their persecutors.

1 Peter 5:1-4

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over [God’s] heritage, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Wonder how the church would differ in America if subjected to this same fire? It may be sooner than we think.
