Christian TV Host ‘Comes Out,’ Gets Support from Church

“The young host of a Christian music television show has come out publicly as a gay man, but to his surprise he has received more encouraging support than expected from the church.”

Can a homosexuals come to knowledge in Christ? Absolutely. So can pedophiles, rapist, murders, and even religious people. The question is can they remain in that habitual practice? I have never seen it……

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”  1 Corinthians 6:9-11

‘And such were some of you….. an emphatic past tense.’ Sanctification! 

“for whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9


“He’s not alone as a gay Christian, he says. There are many gay people in the Christian industry, Southworth said, but it’s “hush-hush” and they’re scared to come out, he noted.”

There is no question that the Christian ‘industry’ employees many homosexuals, but it is important to note that the church is never referred to as an industry but an organization, whereby an individual (that repents of his/her sinful condition) that is born again, is baptized (placed) into the body of Christ by the Spirit of God.

Even if the church rejects the clear teaching of God’s word and embraces the sin of homosexuality, one can rest assured the church shall give an account of its error.


Raised a Pentecostal, Southworth currently identifies himself as a follower of Jesus and does not affiliate with any denomination. He attends three different churches in Nashville, Tenn., one of which is led by a gay partnered pastor.

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the way thereof is the way of death. One must not be concerned about following Jesus, but very careful not to follow a Jesus that contradicts the word of God, for there is another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit.

Those who are concerned about the welfare of the church in America should pray that there would be a spirit of clarity in the church concerning the sin that is crept in unawares.

Study to show thyself approved unto God. A workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.



  1. This is so disappointing to me when I read something like this (the article, not your post); people twisting scripture – the Holy Word of God – into something they want it to be.

  2. As it is to me Adam. My heart breaks for the spiritual confusion that we are seeing in the church in America. I liken it to the hearers of Isaiah’s day.

    “Stay yourselves and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.” Isaiah 29:9

    It would seem the message for Isaiah’s day is applicable to the church in America today. The church is stumbling in a spiritual stupor that is doing nothing more than catering to the satisfaction of the flesh.

    The danger is this my brother, many will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord……. and then comes the saddest saying that an individual could hear; “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that worketh iniquity.”

    Mirage- An optical phenomenon that creates the illusion of water, often with inverted reflections of distant objects, and results from distortion of light by alternate layers of hot and cool air.

    That is what is happening in the church in America. The enemy of the cross has his ministers behind pulpits bending the true light of God’s word and a multitude of folks filling the pews that are heaping to themselves teachers, having itching ears. Anything in the word of God that condemns sin is rejected, thereby condoning sin, and better yet allowing it to flourish.

    There is a spiritual mirage that is alive and well in the church… so sad.
