Religions Greatest Fear…

Algerian officials fearful of Christians

Algeria appears to be intent on making the Christian minority even more of a minority.

The Algerian government has launched a crackdown in recent months, closing over 20 churches and even raiding homes of Christians. Christian children even have a hard time just playing without fear of arrest.
Derara Gubo with International Christian Concern says officials are trying to keep Christians from gathering to worship. He maintains that even when children come together for various reasons they could face arrest.
Christians represent about one percent of the population of Algeria, yet Gubo says they are doing a good job in carrying out the Great Commission. “[They] have been very effective in evangelizing Muslims and in bringing Muslims to Christianity, and the Algerian government is very much worried by this development,” he adds.
In recent weeks, six Christian men and a woman were arrested in two separate incidents on what appear to be trumped-up charges. Gubo believes the Christians have been charged in order to strike fear in the rest of the population.

Does it seem strange to anyone that there is such a vehement persecution by other peace loving religions against Christ and His body? No matter if it is Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism….

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. John 16:1-3

It shouldn’t.
