‘Gay’ man sues Bible publishers…………………

Bradley Fowler (RightPundits.com)

A homosexual man who has a blog on Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign website is suing two major Christian publishers for violating his constitutional rights and causing emotional pain, because the Bible versions they publish refer to homosexuality as a sin.

“And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.” 1 Kings 19: 1-2

Now anyone familiar with the text taken from 1 Kings 19 understands that this is the heart of Jezebel manifested after God had wrought His mighty work and revealed Himself as Yahweh ‘The True and Living God’ to His people upon Mt. Carmel.

Now common sense would tell us that if Jezebel was unhappy with what took place on Mt. Carmel and sought an act of revenge, her focus should have been directed at God, for He and His power alone were brought to light upon the mountain.

Well she was mad with God, but she couldn’t get her hands on God so she directs her anger toward the next best thing, the messenger of God.

That is what we see from Bradley Fowler. He is angry that God’s word has labeled homosexuality as sin and he can’t get his hands on God, so the next best thing is His messenger. The Bible.

What the sinner who willfully rejects God’s word and ‘troddens under foot the blood of His precious Son’, does not realize is that the very word that has angered them and they have rejected is going to be the very same word that will judge him…..

“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” John 12: 46-48

How do we know that this will come to pass? Hear the testimony of Jezebel! Her blood still crieth out.

“And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin. And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.” 1 Kings 21:20-24

And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window. And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master? And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands. Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel 2 Kins 9: 30-37

There is mercy in Christ, but it only comes though obedience to His word. I do pray all that read this might find it. For if you find not His mercy you will most assuredly meet with His vengeance, He will recompense; and it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
