‘what are you going to do Eid al-Fitr weekend?’

If you work for Tyson Food, you will not have to make a decision as to what you will do this ‘Labor Day weekend’, but “what are you going to do this Eid al-Fitr weekend”?

Tyson Foods warms up to Islam-OneNewsNow

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – Workers at the Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Shelbyville will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day but will instead be given the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr as a holiday.

According to a news release from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, a new 5-year contract at the plant included the change to accommodate the hundreds of Somali Muslims who work at the plant .

Eid al-Fitr — which falls on Oct. 1 this year — marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting…

Religious Double Standards

We see Tyson Foods bending over backwards to make Somali Muslims feel right at home and then for you to follow the link to see what the Somali Muslims are doing to Christians in Somali…. https://bromalachi.wordpress.com/2008/08/03/the-faith-of-a-young-man-and-worthy-of-recognition/.

The day given honor in place of Labor Day, ‘Eid al Fitr may sound familiar..It is the day that ends the holy week of Ramadan the month of fasting. Sometimes the celebration gets a little violent  “A Gift… to celebrate Idul Fitri”… you can read more about it.

The Shelbyville Times-Gazette newspaper quotes union spokesman Randy Hadley as saying the negotiating team felt this change was “extremely crucial, since this holiday is as important to Muslims as Christmas is to Christians.”

The newspaper also quotes the union as saying two prayer rooms have been created at the Shelbyville Tyson Foods’ plant ” to allow Muslim workers to pray twice a day and return to work without leaving the plant.”

Wonder if American Christians going to Somali would receive the same recompense for their faith…. I don’t think so. Ask Hussein, the 28-year-old victim, had converted from the Muslim faith to Christianity, oh you can’t…. I guess that answers any questions we might have concerning the religious double standards permeating the Muslim world.

Even our Muslim friends have no trouble seeing the double standard, or do they?

Somali Christian martyred-OneNewsNow

A Somali Christian has paid the ultimate price for his faith.

Hussein, the 28-year-old victim, had converted from the Muslim faith to Christianity. Jonathan Racho of International Christian Concern says he was confronted by Islamic extremists who demanded to know if he faces Mecca when he prays, which is required of Muslims.
“Hussein says he doesn’t face Mecca when he prays because his God is omnipresent and he can face anywhere to pray,” Racho recounts the incident. “The extremists were very much enraged by his comments, and they killed him.”…..

“The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:19-24

Pray for Hussein’s family and his brothers and sisters that shall walk the same road, knowing that The Prophet has already walked this road and shall walk it again with us anew.

‘to live is Christ, to die is gain’

To live is Christ, to die is gain (compilation) by Compilations

For some years now the Spirit of God has wrought through the study of His word a strong conviction that the church in America is one day going to find itself immersed in the same type of persecution that is going on in all of Asia, Africa, India, South America and Europe, and as a preacher of the gospel that unabashedly stands upon the unadulterated word of God, I will be a prime target.

I find the more that I listen to what we are seeing immerge under the guise of Christianity in the church in America, that religion is going to play a part in that source of persecution, as it was in the day of our Lord.

I am not the only one that has this same spirit of conviction, and don’t get me wrong, I feel we are in the minority, but there are others that feel this attack against the church is most certain.

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. John 16:1-2

I subscribe to a newsletter put out by, Greg Gordon and SermonIndex and this weeks message includes a compilation of speakers that speak to this same conviction. Please click on the link below and prayerfully listen to the men of God that bare this same spirit, then pray for our brothers and sisters that are living in the midst of this refining fire.

Subscribe to the SermonIndex.net Newsletter to receive 3-4 messages per week of life-changing messages from the Old Paths, speakers from the past generation. Tell others of this free resource! The work and ministry of sermonindex can be encapsulated in this one word: Revival. Sermonindex is not an organization, business, or any attempt by man to build something for God. It is rather a expression of a heart burden to see the Church revived and brought back to holiness, purity, and power with God. The main thrust of the speakers and articles on the website are towards an ‘apostolic’ vision of the church of God found in Holy Scriptures. This biblical balanced Christianity is something needed in contrast to our modern day commercial, superficial, cultural Christianity. The desire for a spiritual awakening is in hopes that it will restore this original apostolic church in this world as a better expression of what the Church should be.
