‘some things never change’

Marc Chagall, Les Fiancees de la Tour Eiffel

The above painting is from renowned painter Marc Chagall. Les Fiancees de la Tour Eiffel- ‘The Bride of the Eiffel Tower’ was painted around 1900. I wonder in today’s confusion concerning marriage what Chagall’s ‘bride’ would look like?

One of the nation’s most prominent dictionary companies has resolved the argument over whether the term “marriage” should apply to same-sex duos or be reserved for the institution that has held families together for millennia: by simply writing a new definition.

The dictionary’s new definition of marriage

The new definition references “marriage” as the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife. But the definition also includes “the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage.”

Since the beginning of time, there has always been one that does any and everything to thwart the Truth of Gods word. Suppression of Light and the propagation of darkness if you please. That same spirit is alive and well today.

We are living in a day when nothing escapes the scrutiny of ‘political correctness’. For those who long for a foundation of truth, it is good to know that there is one thing that will never change.

The Word of God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. Genesis 2:21-25

If the Lord tarries man shall most assuredly rewrite the Word of God to make it more palatable to his/her view of their own god….

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman and a man, and brought both him and her unto the man and said now choose which one caters to the desires of your flesh. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: they shall be called my spouse, because it is written in Webster’s Dictionary. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his lover: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his lover, and were not ashamed, until the Lord returns. Genesis 2:21-25 modified by the religious baser sort.

Rest assured my friend, the Word of God will not change. I pray that pulpits will not change it for the tickling of itching ears.
