Looking For A Church?

Belonging to the underground Faith Missions Church could cost one a whole lot!

I’ll bet you don’t see an influx in attendance at Easter and Christmas.

“A Christian martyr is one who chooses to suffer death rather than to deny Christ or His work… sacrifices something very important to further the Kingdom of God… endures great suffering for Christian witness”. VOM

If we are not ready to die for Christ, do you think we will live for Him?

Today’s Christian Politics?

As a pastor of a nondenominational, independent, bible church, I have never been one to hang my hat on religion (denominationalism). I do not find fault with one attending a Methodist church, or a Baptist church, Assembly of God, Apostolic, or any other assembly that one finds the Lord’s leading, I just have found that many have got locked in to the denominationalism aspect while completely ignoring the true teaching of God’s word. In essence I think ’religion’ muddies the water of Christianity to the point that many go to church and don’t even realize that they are not believers, at least in the eyes of the Lord. I would liken it to what my Lord told the people following Him in Matthews gospel.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity“. Matthew 7:21-23

Many in politics use the politically incorrect term ‘Christianity’ to which they only give credence while running for public office. Closer examination reveals that they are not in fact Christian at all. For out of the mouth proceeds the content of one’s heart.A real life example of this, is what Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told a crowd at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio this past Sunday March 2, 2008. Please consider that Senator Obama is not the only political candidate with this gross spiritual deception.

Obama: Sermon on Mount OKs Same-Sex Unions
Obama: Sermon on Mount OKs Same-Sex Unions Monday, March 3, 2008 8:04 AM By: Terence P. Jeffrey Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told a crowd at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, Sunday that he believes the Sermon on the Mount justifies his support for legal recognition of same-sex unions. He also told the crowd that his position in favor of legalized abortion does not make him “less Christian.” “I don’t think it should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state,” said Obama. “If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans.” (See video here) St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans condemns homosexual acts as unnatural and sinful. Obama’s mention of the Sermon on the Mount in justifying legal recognition of same-sex unions may have been a reference to the Golden Rule: “Do to others what you would have them do to you.” Or it may have been a reference to another famous line: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”

It seems to me that Mr. Obama should stick to politics and leave preaching to those who have the Spirit of God’s word.

"Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me." Martin Niemoller

Who will speak for those who can't speak for themselves?

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this’, does not He who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not He who guards your life know it? Will not He repay each one according to what he has done?” Proverbs 24:11-12
